Day 1: Marrakech → Ait Ben Haddou → Ouarzazate → Agdez → Zagora
Your 2-day desert tour to Zagora from Marrakech starts early, either from your accommodation or the airport. We’ll drive through the Tizi N-Tichka pass (2,260 meters) and pass charming Berber villages, stopping for panoramic views.
Our first stop is the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO site famous for its appearances in movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After a brief visit, you’ll have lunch in Ait Ben Haddou or Ouarzazate.
In the afternoon, we’ll drive through the Anti-Atlas Mountains, the Draa Valley, and its palm groves, reaching Zagora. You’ll ride a camel through the desert and enjoy a sunset over the dunes before heading to the desert camp for a delicious Moroccan dinner and an evening of traditional Berber music under the stars.
Day 2: Zagora to Marrakech.
After an early morning camel ride to watch the stunning sunrise, enjoy a hearty Moroccan breakfast. Then, we’ll head to Ouarzazate, “The Gate of the Desert,” to visit the Taourirt Kasbah and film studios.
Next, we’ll drive back to Marrakech through the Tizi N’Tichka Pass and the High Atlas Mountains. The 2-day Zagora desert tour will conclude with a drop-off at your hotel or the airport in Marrakech.
